Easy Flapjack Recipe!

Baking is becoming one of my favourite hobbies. I'm still not quite at Mary Berry Level yet, but i'm definitely mastering some of the basics! Flapjack is one of my all-time favourite snacks and it's such a traditional classic! They are really easy to make and taste delicious, so here is a simple recipe for you!

You will need:
250g Butter
200g Brown or White Sugar (either works fine!)
4-5 Tablespoons of Golden Syrup
500g Oats

Warning: There is a chance this recipe may not be calorie free ;)

1. Preheat your oven to 190 degrees.
2. Melt together the butter and sugar in a pan.
3. Once they have melted add in the tablespoons of golden syrup and then stir it all together.
4. Add in your oats and stir, I like to do this a little at a time as i find i am able to coat all of the oats better.
5. Spoon onto a baking tray (i like to line mine with baking paper as it is so much easier to take out once cooked), and then pat down with a spoon.
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until nice and golden on top.
7. Cut into squares and leave to cool. It may be squidgy when it first comes out but it does harden once cooled!

Let me know what you think! Do you fancy giving this a go?

Thanks for reading Xx

  2. Yum I totally love a good flapjack too! I always get them in my graze boxes and they are so good. Think I would probably just scoff the lot if I made it myself! xx

  14. I love flapjacks and these look amazing, I haven't quite gotten them down yet - I'm rubbish at taking them out before they go hard, I always second guess myself and leave them in too long!

    1. I used to have the same problem! I've found that 12 mins worked for me as although they seem really soft they do harden once cooled :) xx
