MAC Pink Nouveau Lipstick REVIEW!

This was my second MAC lipstick i ever purchased and is easily the most beautiful pink lipstick i own. When i arrived home with it and compared it to MAC's Lovelorn (the first MAC lipstick i owned) i got a bit worried. They looked soooo similar in the tube, i thought i had wasted £15. BUT fear not, once swatched i could not believe the difference! This shade is so bubblegum pink, beautifully pigmented and long lasting - nothing like Lovelorn *sigh of relief*.

If you have the guts to wear a bright pink lip then this is the one for you!



This lipstick is cool toned (Bonus: It makes your teeth look whiter!) and is definitely a bold colour. I would say this is a beginner's bold as i don't think it attracts too much attention like MAC's Candy Yum Yum or Morange for example, which may be more striking in colour. It is an easy to wear shade and doesn't look too much for day to day wear.

It is a satin finish lipstick, meaning it is very pigmented but doesn't really dry out your lips like a matte shade would. I still prefer to use some lip scrub or balm before applying this product as my lips do tend to be on the dryer side anyway. Satins are great because they last as long as a matte lippy would, without the negatives of a matte shade!



As the product fades it still leaves a nice even colour on the lips which is great if you are out for a meal as you don't want to be constantly worrying that your lipstick is probably looking really patchy from eating/drinking.

I really think this shade could work on anyone. It looks great on darker complexions, and i think it looks pretty on fellow pale complexions also. Obviously if you are thinking of buying this shade you are best to go to a MAC counter to try it on first, but this is a versatile shade that i think could make a great present for someone as i'm sure the person receiving it will love it, and it should suit them.

So if you want to enter the world of bold lips this is definitely a great starting point. MAC have really excelled themselves with this one. Thumbs up from me!
