MAC Lovelorn Lipstick REVIEW!

The first ever MAC lipstick I owned! And i must say it is a beautiful and wearable pink. It is perfect for daily wear, but would also look awesome on a night out. It is quite a sheer shade which is great if you don't like 'out-there' lip shades and is a natural pink that could work for any occasion.



This is a lustre finish, which is probably one of my favourite finishes because they apply so easily and are very moisturising (they do not add emphasis to any dryness on your lips). They are also shiny, but still easy to build the colour. The only problem with lustres is that they do not last well. I would say this lippy has the staying power of about 2 hours if you aren't excessively eating/drinking, due to the lip gloss like finish.



Good news fellow pale people - this lipstick will work on you... and not only work, it will look good! So yeah can you tell i love this lipstick? I would say it is worth the £15 i spent, and certainly lives up to my expectations of MAC.

The lowdown -
❤ Would i repurchase? As much as it would make me feel guilty for spending out £15 on a lipstick... i would!
❤ Rating out of 10? 8. Points deducted for staying power, although i did expect this from a lustre.
❤ Would i recommend it to a friend? Yeah!

    Such a beautiful pink lipstick! Mac makes my favorite formula of lipsticks, so I definitely to check out this shade!

      Thanks. Lustres are a really nice finish as although they aren't great at staying put, they are very moisturising and great for people with dry lips xx

    Visiting from the blog hop. I would love to find this shade! Absolutely beautiful. I'm used to wearing glosses that don't last much at all, so I think two hours would be more than fine for me!

    I've never actually swatched this shade in store before but it looks really beautiful. I liked Lustre finishes because they're so comfortable but they are a pain when it comes to wear. I guess you can't have it all sometimes :P

    Mac has so many amazing lipsticks, that we don't even know they exist! It's the first time I see it and I love it! Lustre is my favourite finish! :)

    This is such a pretty colour! I don't own any mac lipsticks but I've been weighing up buying one for a while, just deciding on which colour to buy and this definitely looks like a contender especially as I'm also quite pale.

      Yes this is a great shade if you're pale, as it isn't too nude. I definitely think this is a great Mac lipstick to start with as it is one you could wear tons! This was my first Mac lipstick :P xx

    Lovelorn was also my first MAC lipstick! I love the lustre finish as MAC's matte finishing can be overly drying on my lips. It looks slightly peachier on you, I like it! xx
